When performance accessories are fitted to your vehicle (cams, exhausts, air filters etc) the engines management system goes out of tune. This is often recognized by not getting the power gains that you anticipated when these accessories were fitted. By fitting a CamFC, your vehicle's air/fuel ratios can be modified to suit your performance accessories resulting in an increase in Power, Torque, Response and economy.

The cam switching function of the CamFC allows you to optimize your cam switching point to suit your modifications, further enhancing mid range Power and removing holes in the power curve.

For non-adjustable cam vehicles, the CamFC can be used for its AFC and Tachometer features while the cam trigger output can be used as an RPM switch for a shiftlight, high boost solenoid, NOS etc.

The best approach to calibrating your ECU to your engine is to have your car set up on a dyno and tuned by a proficient tuner to suit your engines modifications. Unfortunately we realise this is not always possible due to location, availability or budget and certainly an aftermarket ECU upgrade is a massive improvement over the factory calibration due to enhanced mapping and limiters. Unfortunately due to the number of variations possible on any given vehicle we cannot promise you that we have a tune to suit your modifications. Please understand that the donor cars that we have calibrated to create our library will not exactly match your own insofar as modifications, fuel composition or environmental conditions (altitude, climate, humidity etc); this is why we feel that it is unfitting and misleading to offer you a percentage or hp gain, our only comment on this is that you will gain over the factory calibration.
