Summer 2011 Horse Camps ***FULL***
This summer the Maples will be offering camps through the Gabriola Recreation Society. New this year is the Saddle Up Camp. Click on the name of the camp below for more info. Dates are as follows:
July 11th-15th (1:30pm-3:00pm): Horsin' Around: An Introduction to Horses (session 1)
August 8th-12th (10:30am-12pm): Horsin' Around: An Introduction to Horses (session 2)
August 8th-12th (1pm-3pm): Saddle Up: Learn to Ride Camp (for those who have taken Horsin' Around or have other riding experience)
August 15th-19th (9:30am-11:30am): Saddle Up: Learn to Ride Camp (session 2)

Mare "Nik of Time" and her filly are doing well. Congratulations to Joanna MacKenzie for submitting the winning name: "Xpresso Time"! Mare and foal are happy and healty, and "Essa" (as we like to call her) is growing up to be a beautiful and bold filly. She is for sale, contact us for full information.

The Maples is home to a beautiful orchard. Apples, pears, plums, cherries, walnuts, grapes, and hazelnuts abound and there is always something to harvest in the garden.
Because we have a large orchard, it is difficult to keep up with all of the harvesting. For 2011 we will have our tree sharing program, where you harvest the entire tree, and keep half the fruit! Contact Us for information about which trees are available. Most of the trees are at least 30 years old, so produce a large crop. This is a great way to enjoy organic fruit without paying organic prices.
